Bangladesh institute of minimal access surgery (BIMAS) is a place for training and development of minimal access surgery skills.

• Provide the basic knowledge required for clinical applications in minimal access surgery.
• Describe all basic principles (Instruments, materials, anesthesia, equipment) and present the most used basic laparoscopic techniques.
• Provide hands on training sessions to learn/improve performance of basic techniques in laparoscopic surgery such as intracorporeal suturing and knot tying techniques, hands eyes coordination for dissection/safe use of energy in laparoscopy.
• Describe potential complications and management of laparoscopic procedures.

• Hands on training with individual endo-trainer boxes, wet lab under direct supervision
• Interactive theoretical & video sessions between faculties and course participants.
• Provides live operative demonstrations
